Welcome to Midwest Dog Boarding! Our names are Nick and Shawna Sjaarda. We, along with our 6 children, became the owners of Midwest Dog Boarding in August, 2022. We have always liked animals of many kinds from pigs and cows to dogs and cats! As you get to know us you'll discover that we like the simpler things in life and some of the old fashioned things from bygone days. You can be sure that we won't be lighting up your Twitter feed, but we are friendly folks and we look forward to meeting you along with your dogs and cats when they need a fun place to stay. We know your pets are important to you, so finding a reliable kennel for your family pet is vital. You want to leave your pet with people you can trust, and you want your pet to feel comfortable and enjoy the experience. We strive to provide a stress-free, relaxing, affordable boarding experience for your pet. Our staff is dependable, friendly, and always eager to greet you and your pet with a smile! Our goal is to make your pet feel like part of our family during their stay. Midwest Dog Boarding is located a short distance off Interstate 90, across the South Dakota/Minnesota border. We offer 26 kennels and 6 suites with in-floor heat and air-conditioning. Our spacious backyard allows your pet to get plenty of exercise and enjoy the country air. Your pet might even enjoy a romp in a pile of corn leaves from the adjacent corn field at harvest time!
